The official biography of Servant of God Annella Zervas, OSB, written by James Kritzeck, tells the story of a young Benedictine sister from Moorhead, Minnesota, who lived from 1900 to 1926.

Known for her deep love for Jesus and the Church, Sister Annella accepted a painful skin disease during the last three years of her young life with great trust in God.

The book follows her childhood, her call to religious life, and the suffering she offered to God. Her life shows what it means to live as a child of God amid pain, trusting even in difficult situations that God always wills our good.

In October 2025, Bishop Andrew Cozzens opened the cause for canonization of Servant of God Annella Zervas, OSB. Her life is now being studied by the Church to determine her heroic virtue and whether she may one day be declared a saint.
